TRY DIVE vs DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING is an offer for those who have never dived.
On this page we will introduce you to the fundamental program differences between the two diving programs.
We run a dive center in Tenerife, and to make a long story short, we get a lot of questions from you just what your first dive in Tenerife would be like.
Beginner divers ask especially: TRY DIVE TENERIFE and DISCOVER SCUBA DIVE TENERIFE.
Both are tailored for people who have never dived before, are still inexperienced or do not have a diving license.
TRY DIVE TENERIFE is dedicated to complete beginners, without any diving experience or even swimming skills.
The instructor takes the participants on their first dive individually, on a 1:1 basis.
This gives you many benefits such as maximum safety, belay and control of the dive participant.
Only then you will feel like a real diver and be able to focus your attention on the Atlantic Ocean life around you.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE:
- After the First Instructor conducts approx.
30min discussion of: equipment, safety rules, basic underwater communication signs, course of diving. - Practical part: we try breathing in shallow water, 1:1 with the instructor, who holds the participant in the right position at all times and performs all the handling of the BCD Vest – so, among other things, you do not need to know how to swim
- A first-time diver has the feeling of complete control and does not need to do any underwater exercises ( as is the case in the second Discover Scuba Dive program)

- The diving is done on very attractive sites: ABADES or MONTANA AMARILLA, where we can see huge shoals, turtles, stingrays,octopuses, starfish, and interesting post-lava formations, all already at a depth of 3-5 m.
- We record every dive, and you will get photos and video of your dive from us as a gift 🙂

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVE TENERIFE is actually dedicated to both people with no experience and those who have already tried diving such as: TRY DIVE.
It’s an ideal solution to learn something during your dive in addition to an underwater trip with an instructor on TRY DIVE.
It’s also a great solution for anyone who has doubts or doesn’t have time to do a proper OPEN WATER DIVER course, which lasts 3 days.
The total duration is half a day.
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE:
- First you will be taught the basics of diving theory, after which a 5-minute test is provided and I assure you it is very easy 🙂
- Then we move on to discuss the practical part and diving.
In very shallow water where you will freely stand we do some exercises:
– breathing underwater;
– clearing the automaton from the water;
– finding the automaton precipitated from the mouth;
– clearing the mask from the water;
– pressure equalization techniques;
– filling and draining the buoyancy control device (BCD) on the surface.
- After practicing the basics, the instructor takes the participant or a group (max. 4 people) for a dive, during which you try to use the knowledge acquired during the exercises and swim alongside the instructor with your own strength – here swimming skills are already needed

DSD – basic diving skills can be counted towards the Padi Open Water Diver course if you would like to do it in the future, - Dive time is about 40-60 minutes underwater.

In short, both programs are for people who have not dived before!
In particular, depending on individual preference, self-confidence everyone can choose between purely recreational, trial diving TRY DIVE TENERIFE or combined with learning the basics of diving DISCOVER SCUBA DIVE TENERIFE.
