Advanced Open Water Diver in Tenerife - WHAT PRICE?

345 euros / 2 dive days

– Full and high quality diving equipment including a dive computer ( you do not need to have your own equipment),

– HIT: we will visit 2 different dive sites:

TABAIBA – definitely one of the best dive sites in Tenerife. A visit to the wreck of a tugboat sunk in Tenerife awaits you. We will conduct 2 dives here, including: deep and wreck dives.

LAS ERAS or MONTANA AMARILLA – both dives, which are characterized by underwater rock formations shaped by lava. Secondly, you can see very numerous schools of fish, including barracuda. We combine learning with unforgettable dives.

Advanced Open Water Diver - what's next?

RESCUE DIVER COURSE – The next step on the diving path – learning how to rescue other divers. This is undoubtedly one of the most important courses, so we recommend it to all divers who want to dive every day and feel safe doing it.

FULL DIVING SPECIALIZATIONS – including: Nitrox, Wrecking, Deep to 40m, Night, Navigation, Perfect buoyancy.

PRACTICE AND EXPERIENCE – first of all – partner diving. By diving you gain experience, and also get to know water bodies with different requirements,different bottom. Subsequently, your confidence grows, you get to know the world, the diversity of flora fauna, but also make new friends. Often diving becomes a career direction and an idea for life.

Advanced Open Water Diver Course - what is it?

This course is a training program for divers who want to expand their skills and explore new types of diving. During the course, you will perform five themed dives (“adventure dives”) that give you insight into different specialties.

Who is it intended for?

For anyone who:

  • Has completed the OWD course,

  • wants to improve his diving skills,

  • plans more challenging diving expeditions,

  • is considering further development, such as a Rescue Diver course.

  • max depth to 30m from 15 years of age

  • 12 – 14 years – max depth 21m

How long is the AOWD course?

The course lasts 2 days + 1 night dive (if you chosen speciality NIGT DIVE), for a total of 5 dives.

Structure of theoretical and practical classes:

  • E-learning – theory and exam of the theory part online. All materials will be available without limit even after the course ends. Access the training materials via the SSI app. We recommend that you purchase the training materials online before you arrive at the course, so that you can have the theory part completed without rushing and without wasting precious time on vacation.

  • Five thematic dives.

Choice of diving specialties:

During the course you choose 5 diving specialties. Of course, we are here to help you choose the most interesting, practical and necessary for later development.

The most frequently selected diving specialties on the course:

Deep Diving

It allows to descend to a maximum depth of 30 m.

Navigation Diving (underwater navigation)

It teaches how to navigate with a compass and use natural landmarks.

Night Diving

A unique opportunity to observe the nocturnal inhabitants of the underwater world.

Perfect Buoyancy

Improve buoyancy control, reduce air consumption and protect the environment.

Wreck Diving

You will learn the basic techniques used in wreck diving

Search and recovery (exploration and extraction)

Extraction using a lift bag. You will learn the technique of extracting objects from the bottom safely and also easily.

ADVANCED DIVING COURSE IN TENERIFE - ADVANCED DIVER

SSI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER is the equivalent of the Advanced Open Water Diver course of other diving federations, including PADI.

Most importantly, you receive your AOWD Certificate in the SSI app and it is free and easily available to show at any dive base you dive with in the future. However, if you prefer a plastic card, it is an additional option, but also a paid one. The plastic is not mandatory. Advanced Open Water Diver course in the SSI organization authorizes you to dive deeper, max. 30m, all over the world. Of the 5 specializations you choose, 2 are mandatory: DEEP DIVER and NAVIGATION, while the other 3 you can choose yourself.

The philosophy of the advanced course in the SSI federation is very smart, and the course can be combined with the first Open Water Diver course in Tenerife. If you combine the courses then reserve 5 days for this.

By completing the course you will gain the basics of navigation, buoyancy, but it is up to you to develop further. Basically, you will only gain experience by diving and extending the knowledge gained from specializations done in the advanced course to full speciality courses. That’s why SSI calls its advanced course ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER, and after you’ve done 12 dives in your life and supplemented that with 2 specializations, it awards the SPECIALITY DIVER title in the system. Moreover, if you have done 24 dives in your life and completed 4 full diving specializations you will advance to the title of ADVANCED SPECIALITY DIVER.

In summary, the Advanced Diver course gives you more confidence, better technique and the discovery of your preferences underwater. Sunny Tenerife allows you to do the course 365 days a year.
